NKD wins two MarCom Awards for Virgin Atlantic film

NKD Group has become one of just two UK companies to be honoured at the 2007 MarCom Awards – the global awards scheme for creative achievement in marketing communications.

NKD’s emotive ‘Memories’ film for Virgin Atlantic Airways won a prestigious Platinum Award in the Video/Film/Internal Communication category, and a Gold Award for Video/Film/Training.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition, attracting entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design agencies and production companies around the world. The competition has grown to be the largest of its kind in the world, attracting over 5000 entries in 2007.

“’Memories’ was a short motivational film, designed to emotionally engage 4000 Virgin Atlantic cabin crew, as part of a year-long customer service refreshment programme,” explains Matt Ralph, Creative Director at NKD Group.  “The simple black and white production, featuring Virgin crew recounting their most personal memories stories directly to camera, made for a very powerful piece of video.  We’re delighted it has now received international recognition.”

Earlier this year, a spoof radio programme that NKD Group created for Virgin Atlantic won an Award for Excellence in the audio category of the CiB 2007 Awards.  The service refreshment programme was also honoured with two awards at the 2007 Motivation Awards, and shortlisted for ‘Most Effective Use of Internal Communications’ at the HR Excellence Awards.
