Omnifone Case Study | Learn MusicStation


 

The Brief

In March 2007, Omnifone commissioned NKD Learning to design and deliver an e-learning solution, which would train the product attributes of its revolutionary mobile phone product MusicStation, to customer service teams across the Globe in both retail stores, contact centres and Head offices.
 

The Solution

Initially NKD conducted a Training Needs Analysis through its unique ‘Discovery’ phase. Using these results, we designed a series of bite size e-learning modules. The key to the design was a unique template, which enabled simple adaptation into 6 different languages and the needs of global markets.

NKD Creative assisted the project by using MusicStations’ brand to develop an engaging look and feel for the e-learning solution, which ensured maximum engagement with the material. The creative design used MusicStations characters, Chris, Toni and Lee to guide the learner through the training.

To ensure consistent delivery of the MusicStation customer experience a series of tests were built into the training to guarantee the level of skill and knowledge attained. A full reporting system was designed to give the Training Manager a suite of reports to enable them to manage the learning process effectively.
 

Results

Omnifone were delighted with the results; the training surpassing their expectations. User feedback exclaimed that the e-learning was the most engaging and well thought through training they had experienced.
